Develop Theory of Change / Evaluate Intervention Designs / Assess Wellbeing, Behavioral, Community & Ecosystem Outcomes

About us

We are a "think", "do" & "advocate" tank that provides R&D support in 1) developing and testing hypotheses--Theory of Change, 2) evaluating product / program / institutional designs and 3) assessing outcomes at the individual level (e.g., wellbeing and health, behavioral changes), the community level (e.g., vibrancy, resilience), and the ecosystem level (e.g., changes in industry standards, practices). We hope that through research, organizations can test their hypotheses, identify effective product / program / institutional designs, maximize their social impact. Since its establishment, IA has already served 20 NGOs, intermediaries, charitable foundations, universities and corporate CSR teams.

Revisioning PMQ Place-based Theory of Change and Business Model Innovations to Create Shared Values In view of community diversities and the uniqueness of resource endowments in each community, IMPACT ANALYTICS has been looking for #place-based #theoryofchange to enhance urban regeneration and community resilience. One of the areas that we have looked at is #sustainable #businessmodelinnovation and #place-based CSV strategies for real estate companies. Swire Properties has set a good example for their work in Island East, and Nan Fung Group in Tsuen Wan. On Oct 30th, in collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong and ULI Hong Kong together with Eric Ho, the co-founder and director of Architecture Commons, Jessica Chan, Head of Investor Solutions of JLL Hong Kong Kong, and Dorothy Cho, the CSV manager of IMPACT ANALYTICS delivered a workshop on place-based creating shared value strategies for CUHK students from the Hospitality and Real Estate Program, using PMQ as an example. In the workshop, Dorothy facilitated a discussion on sustainable business model innovations and generating shared value for real estate companies. This was followed by Eric's sharing on human-centered design for adaptive reuse projects, and Jessica's insights on building-life cycle and related considerations. The students then engaged in an exercise where they applied CSV strategies to rethink PMQ, demonstrating their creativity and imaginative thinking while taking into account the balance between economic, social and environmental benefits. #businessmodelinnovation #creatingsharedvalue #placemaking #urbandesign #communityimpact #communityresilience #urbanregeneration

In this session, we will focus on methods, such as outcome mapping and measurement, theory building and testing, that can help you determine the effectiveness of programme or product designs and how they create an impact. Understanding your designs is critical for enhancing program/product effectiveness, and allows funders and investors to use their funds more costeffectively. We will also discuss the differences and relationships between impact assessment, SROI assessment, and ESG assessment, and other forms of assessment based on certain impact standards.
