[SES X Chinachem Group: Reimagining a Sustainable Tsuen Wan Community —Selection Showcase 📋]   The Selection Showcase of School Innovation Programme “Impact Booster 2024” co-organized by Social Enterprise Summit and Chinachem Group has successfully completed. We were honoured to have Dr. CA Tse, Co-chair of Social Enterprise Summit Organising Committee, Mr Alan Cheung, Co-founder of One Bite Design Studio, Ms Denise Yeung, Assistant Program Manager of the Hong Kong Arts Centre and Mr Lok Hang, Robin Sham, Innovation Service Manager of Golden Age Foundation, as judges for this event.✨ After a month of training and workshops,12 students teams presented their innovative ideas, focusing on the three themes “Diverse and Inclusive Community”, “Open Public Space”, and “Communal Space” in Tsuen Wan at the selection showcase. After pitching, three teams stood out with their projects: "Emotional Space," "Anti-Slip Drainage Floor," and " Someone Is Here to Teach You How to Use Your Phone." Congratulations to the shortlisted teams! Each will receive seed funding of HKD 15,000 to turn their 'ideas' into 'actions.'🤝These teams will take their first steps into practice their ideas in the community from August to October. [SES X Chinachem Group: Reimagining a Sustainable Tsuen Wan Community —Walk into District🌟] School Innovation Programme “Impact Booster 2024” co-organised by the Social Enterprise Summit and Chinachem Group, kicked off in July! The programme features the Case Competition for secondary school students, with shortlisted teams getting the opportunity to bring their creative concepts to life in Tsuen Wan District. Throughout the design thinking workshops, students learned and applied design thinking skills to develop innovative solutions addressing social issues in Tsuen Wan, focusing on three themes: Diverse and Inclusive Community, Open Public Space, and Communal Space. Professional mentors from Chinachem Group, along with young social innovators from various fields, served as coaches, has also offered professional support and guidance for students in their case design.💡 The students recently conducted field trips in three routes. They engaged with residents💭and observed neighbourhood to understand the community needs. Guided by the case partners, they explored everything from the big picture to the small details, sparking ideas for potential solutions.
