An eye-catching, bright red #MAXUS #MIFA7 multi-purpose #EVtaxi was unveiled by Ta Wo Motors Limited (Tai Wo) and #Inchcape this week. It is Inchcape’s #first luxury EV taxi delivered in Hong Kong.   On top of its #comforts, #environmentalfriendly, #safety and #inclusive features, the MAXUS is versatile with the ability to carry up to six passengers.   This partnership continues Inchcape's innovation in Hong Kong's public transportation sector, including our 60-year partnership with #Toyota - the Toyota Comfort Hybrid, for example, which accounts for 98% of the city's taxi market, is the vehicle of choice for many taxi companies and customers. The partnership also showcases Inchcape’s agility and speed to offer customer-centric solutions that meet changing consumer demands as Hong Kong’s mobility transition accelerates. Through this new EV taxi delivery, Inchcape strengthens its commitment to supporting the Inchcape plc sustainability vision of ‘The global mobility transition, delivered locally’ by providing global insights and local capabilities needed to drive new energy vehicle adoption in the community. Whether in the office or racking up kilometers running every week, Joyce Yiu, our Senior Manager, People Business Partner knows the power of #resilience, #persistence, and #patience. These factors helped Joyce to complete her seventh marathon, at the 50th Berlin Marathon, which attracted 54,000+ runners last month.   As part of supporting Inchcape Asia-Pacific workplace well-being efforts, Joyce is launching an Inchcape running club to spread the joy of running. She wants colleagues to exercise regularly, make friends, and have fun. “Running has improved my #physical and #mentalhealth and I want others to enjoy this benefit. If you find running daunting – I say you can do it! Sometimes, you need to jump without knowing where you land. It’s all about taking one step at a time!” "As a marathon runner, I have also found it to be an #inclusive sport. It gives running extra power and popularity, especially among #women who embrace an 'anything is possible' attitude in other areas, including the workplace and career advancement," Joyce added. With Berlin under her belt, Joyce hopes to run the other major global marathons in the near term and is likely to achieve this goal, sooner, rather than later. #DrivingWhatMatters #WorldMentalHealthDay #Wellbeing #WomeninLeadership

Bolstering Hong Kong’s EV charging infrastructure is the focus of today Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Ted Lau, Managing Director of Inchcape Greater China and Paul Cheng, CEO of Autotoll Limited as well as the presence of senior executives from both companies.   Developing real-time charging management systems for commercial and private EV owners, and supporting a #connected, #greener Hong Kong is the aim of the MoU that builds on the success of Inchcape’s Landmark East charging project. Launched in June, the joint Landmark East station leverages Inchcape’s network, experience, expertise, and award-winning aftersales service with Autotoll’s strong track record of developing #smart #transport solutions.   Congrats to the teams involved and watch this space as the project moves forward.   #DrivingWhatMatters #MobilityTransition #EVChargingSolution

Mid-Autumn Festival is a chance to spend time with family, celebrate proud traditions and customs. Best festive season wishes from the Inchcape team!

Mid-Autumn Festival is one of my favourite 'break times' because it is a chance to enjoy milder weather, spend time with the family, and share and eat mooncakes! I also like the festival’s cultural side and it’s great to incorporate local customs and traditions in our workplace diversity programmes. This year, our colleagues across all sites receive mooncakes as a token of our thanks and appreciation for their valued contributions and commitment, especially to our long-service employees. Extending kindness is also important to us, and we collect surplus mooncake donations from our various teams to give to local charities and community centres. This is a simple but meaningful way to spread joy and goodwill, and we thank our NGO partner, Feeding Hong Kong for their great support. On behalf of Inchcape Greater China, I would also like to thank colleagues, customers, business partners, and other stakeholders for your continued support, I hope the beauty and power of tonight's ‘super moon’ will inspire you to reach new heights of #success and #happiness - happy festival wishes! #ThankYou #IncredibleInchcaper #HappyMidAutumnFestival

I am proud and delighted to announce that Inchcape was named an “Outstanding Corporate Strategy Awards 2024” winner at a recent prize-giving hosted by SING TAO NEWS CORPORATION LIMITED 星島新聞集團. The awards salute companies that lead in management best practices, business #agility, #innovation and #sustainability. Our global sustainability efforts were highlighted under the banner of our Gorup Inchcape plc's 'Global Mobility Transition, Delivered Locally' sustainability approach. https://lnkd.in/ga8FTuK6 Sustainability also drives our sales and marketing. Since we became SAIC Motor MAXUS #MIFA 9 & 7's designated distributor in Hong Kong, we have achieved strong sales growth, making us No.1 in the category of eMPVs  -- this providing us a great foundation to bring new brands to Hong Kong.  Market leadership is also built on solid foundations such as long-term partnerships and our 60-year relationship with #Toyota is a great example. The rise in demand for new energy vehicles has been remarkable, and I am privileged to have 'driver's seat' view of Hong Kong's transport evolution with Inchcape, and through my role as the Chairman of Motor Traders Association of Hong Kong (MTA). While progress has been made, we must accelerate change and deepen partnerships with the government to create a more supportive industry environment, in terms of talent recruitment and training. I want to congratulate our teams for helping us win this prestigious award and you can read more about this success in this article: https://lnkd.in/gNDc7xgc #DrivingWhatMatters #GreenMobility Inchcape Asia-Pacific Inchcape Greater China

Gardening is good for the #environment, and #physical and #mentalhealth, and these benefits were showcased at the recently held Bonsai Plant Growing Workshop.  The 40+ workshop attendees learned about Bonsai (succulent) plants – they have diverse forms, colours, and blooms and are renowned as 'easy to care for' indoor and outdoor plants and making them ideal for Hong Kong's urban gardeners. In addition to helping our attendees extend their ‘green finger’ skills, the workshops were a fun, creative way to reinforce #Inchcape's commitment to sustainability. Kudos to Inchcape iClub Committee, Edith Kam and Calvin Lo for leading this initiative, and which has inspired and produced a lot of Inchcape new gardeners!  Gary Yip Cliff Chan Joyce Yiu Karen Lo Karson Matthew Lee Willis Lee Inchcape Asia-Pacific #DrivingWhatMatters #Sustainability

“Stronger together” was a key message expressed during a recent visit to Inchcape by Toyota Motor Corporation senior executive, Ueda-san, Operating Officer, and Miwa-san, Deputy Managing Director for East Asia Region, Automotive Business SBU & Business Develop SBU and Nakahara-san, Manager of Toyota SBU from Toyota Tsusho Corporation. Their courtesy visit included a meeting to discuss the latest motoring trends in Hong Kong, Toyota innovations in the pipeline, and new ways to strengthen ties between Toyota and Inchcape.
