Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) is a leading non-government, non-profit organisation founded in November 2014 under the chairmanship of Mr C.H. Tung, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. OHKF’s core mission is to promote and contribute to Hong Kong's long-term and sustained prosperity and stability under the “One Country, Two Systems” principle. It harnesses Hong Kong’s collective wisdom, dynamism, and resilience to take full advantage of the unique opportunities that our country and the two systems together can offer. To fulfil our broad mission, the OHKF has set up an array of specialist institutes and platforms. They are the Public Policy Institute, China Institute for Knowledge, SciTech Innovation Platform, Business for Social Good Platform, Academy of Chinese Studies, and Hong Kong Chronicles Institute.

  • Dicky Chow, Head of Healthcare and Social Innovation of 團結香港基金 Our Hong Kong Foundation, responds to the 2024 Policy Address released on October 16. He welcomes the Government's organisation of the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Cultural Festival. He recommends the festival to incorporate concepts from Chinese medicine culture, such as "strengthening one's innate health and cultivating vitality(固本培元)", "health preserving in four seasons(四時養生)" , and "preventive care(治未病)". He suggests the Government diversify engagement with the community through Chinese medicine experiential activities, cultural tourism integration, and educational outreach.   • As announced in the 2024 Policy Address on 16 October, the Government will continue to deepen Greater Bay Area(GBA) Collaboration, Encourage Hong Kong youths to work in the GBA, which will be enhance the GBA Youth Employment Scheme by relaxing eligibility requirements to allow young people aged 29 or below with sub-degree or higher qualifications to join the scheme, increasing the limit of monthly allowance granted to enterprises to $12,000. 團結香港基金 Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) has been concerned about the opportunities and challenges faced by Hong Kong Youths in seeking employment and starting their entrepreneurship in the Mainland cities of the GBA.   • As announced in the 2024 Policy Address on 16 October, the Government will increase investment and guide more market capital to invest in I&T industries, reflecting a revamped approach of Government in this. Including set up a $10 billion I&T Industry-Oriented Fund & optimising the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund.   • As announced in the 2024 Policy Address on 16 October, the Government will build Hong Kong into a centre for mega international sports events through measures such as promoting sports in the community and developing a host city economy in the sports industry.   • As announced in the 2024 Policy Address on 16 October, the Government will expedite the reform of the approval mechanism for drugs and medical devices. The measures include extending the "1+" mechanism to all new drugs and improving the approval mechanism to speed up registration, facilitating good drugs for use in Hong Kong; and devising the timetable for the Hong Kong Centre for Medical Products Regulation and the roadmap towards adoption of "primary evaluation", as well as formulating strategies and measures to facilitate research and development of drugs and medical devices.   • As announced in the 2024 Policy Address on 16 October, the Government has propounded detailed measures to promote the development of Chinese Medicine (CM).
