What a fantastic time we had at the Pals Club Halloween Family Fun Day last Friday! It was a delight to see colleagues’ families visiting our office for a day of exciting activities. The event featured office hunting, trick-or-treating, game booths, and even a popcorn & egg waffles corner! The little pals were especially thrilled with the claw machine - their excitement was contagious! 🍿🎪 This event was a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate our commitment to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the event a huge success. We can’t wait for the next staff activity! 🎉 #PrincipalHK #EmployeeWellbeing

We are proud to continue our support for the Hong Kong Cancer Fund’s “Pink Revolution” this year. Last Friday, on the annual Dress Pink Day, our staff showed their solidarity dressing in PINK to raise awareness for breast cancer patients. In addition to encouraging our staff to make donations, Principal Hong Kong is committed to make a matching donation for every dollar contributed by our staff. But that’s not all! In celebration of Principal’s 145th anniversary, the Principal Foundation will also contribute an additional 50% of the donations upon requested. Together, we can make a significant impact in supporting breast cancer patients and their families. Let’s continue to spread awareness and show our support! #PrincipalHK #PinkDay

Great discussion on Bloomberg TV and Radio in Hong Kong, where I attended the annual Principal Investment Summit. It was great to share insights on the market outlook of the US, China, and emerging markets, along with investment strategies in multi-asset, such as exploring the mega-cap tech and investment-grade bonds.   Thank you, Bloomberg, for the opportunity.   You can hear more from this discussion here [starting at 50 minute mark]: https://lnkd.in/gt5yE9hQ

Howe Chung Wan shares his insights on the recent Asian Fixed Income Outlook. Key takeaways include:   🔸 In today’s shifting rate environment, investors are exploring diverse income generating strategies across fixed income assets – from preferred securities and direct lending to emerging market opportunities.   🔸 Despite the tight spreads, the global easing cycle and shifting dollar dynamics are creating unique pockets of potential yield. Selective, fundamentally-driven approaches are key to capitalizing on this diverging landscape.   ➡️ Read more in our latest quarterly Fixed Income Perspectives. https://lnkd.in/e6Tg8Sb4 Investment involves risks. George Maris and the equities team shared their insights recently at the Principal Investment Summit in Asia, key highlights below. 🔸 Inflation is seemingly under control in the U.S., but inflation comparisons become more challenging as we move into 2025. 🔸 China’s economic stimulus measures are seen as modest and are focused more on manufacturing and technology self-sufficiency rather than broad based consumption stimulus. 🔸The outlook for real estate markets, especially in Asia, is cautious due to rising global interest rates and the impacts on property values and rents. However, a potential decline in real yields might provide some stabilization and upside for real estate. ➡️ Read here for more related insights. https://lnkd.in/esRDi6EU Investment involves risks. Todd Jablonski spent the week sharing his insights at the Principal Investment Summit in Asia. Key highlights below. 🔸 Global stocks are expensive, but valuations don’t always predict short-term returns. Opportunities exist in emerging markets like Latin America and Asia. 🔸 The upcoming U.S. election is too close to call; the president’s influence on the economy is often overstated. 🔸 China’s policy response is positive, but is it enough? The world’s 2nd largest economy remains one to watch. 🔸 In fixed income, we like investment-grade credit and preferred securities for potential yield. ➡️ Read here for more related insights. https://lnkd.in/esRDi6EU Investment involves risks.
