About The Role

We’re looking for a self-motivated Business Development Manager to join our Hong Kong Sales Team to expand our global business development efforts. As we further our mission to inspire the world to sell, we need to ensure we grow sustainably with healthy revenue streams. This role will be able to execute swiftly to acquire new merchants as well as upsell/ cross-sell existing merchants and be responsible for the after-sales services to maintain a strong and healthy relationship with existing clients. Job Description

  • Enjoy and thrive to work in a startup environment
  • Be able to identify new sales leads
  • Research on organizations and individuals to understand the nature of your client base
  • Contact potential clients via email or telephone to set up appointments to establish rapport
  • Give sales pitches to a wide of range of prospective clients by articulating knowledge about products, services and value propositions
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with perspectives and existing clients
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Meet or exceed monthly individual sales goals
  • Prepare weekly and monthly pipeline reports

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ relevant sales experience in the e-commerce or similar industries
  • Proven sales track record, exposure within our Carousell categories would be an advantage
  • Proactive, team player and able to articulate strong interpersonal skills
  • Deeply committed to achieving goals and targets
  • Ambitious and a positive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Bonus:

  • Experience working in startup-like environments. Marketplace, ecommerce industry experience is a plus
  • Processing domain knowledge in one or above Carousell categories
