About the Company:

Our client is a fast-growing AI cloud service startup company with headquarters in the United States and multiple offices across Asia. As we expand our operations globally, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Human Resources to join our team.


About the Role:

As the Head of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining all HR guidelines, policies, and procedures across our organization. You will be responsible for setting up an efficient payroll system, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations in various regions, and providing professional HR support to our employees and management team.


Responsibilities:

  • Centralize all HR functions in Hong Kong, to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals and ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in the United States and Asia.
  • Establish and maintain an effective payroll system, including employee onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, and timely payroll processing.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, and employee development.
  • Manage employee relations and implement strategies to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Proactively address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and grievances while ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest HR trends, best practices, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and enhance HR effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience 10+ years in HR leadership roles, preferably within the technology industry and with exposure to both the United States and Asian markets.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR practices in the United States and various Asian countries.
  • Proven track record in setting up HR policies, procedures, and systems from scratch in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll administration, compensation and benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to HR operations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic startup environment.
