Marko is a seasoned software engineering leader, technology advisor, and Generative AI enthusiast with over 20 years of experience in both startups and enterprise environments, including Microsoft and Visa. At Visa, he was recognized among the top 1% of leaders for driving global initiatives like AI-powered copilots to optimize processes and enhance client onboarding. Marko’s experience in fintech, edutech, public sector, and Generative AI makes him a valuable mentor for startups looking to scale and work with enterprise systems. He has successfully built and grown a cloud-based product and understands how to connect early-stage ideas with real-world business needs. Welcome, Marko! We’re thrilled to have you on board! 🙌

2024 RECAP This isn’t just another end-of-the-year post. For us, 2024 marks the start of something truly special. It’s the year of new beginnings and significant milestones. In 2024, we officially launched structured programs that will only continue to evolve and improve year after year. 🚀 Our core 6-month incubation program started and set the stage for startup growth and success. The pre-incubation program made its debut—an essential initiative to foster a thriving entrepreneurial environment in Croatia. Our alumni startups made impressive strides, achieving a total of €3.35M in funding. We also welcomed 14 new mentors to our revamped mentor network, further strengthening our support for startups. Here’s to even more growth in 2025! 🥂 A big thank you to everyone who made this journey possible. ♥️

✨ Let’s call this Christmas Party – Professional Photo Dump ✨ Our 19th of December party at BIRD Incubator was the cherry on top for us, our startups, and (hopefully) everyone who joined us. Why we celebrated? The 1st part of the Incubation Program has officially wrapped up (more on that later), and we had to mark the occasion! In a nutshell, it was all about celebrating milestones, thanking our sponsors – GNK Dinamo, Telemach Hrvatska, and Valamar Riviera – showing appreciation to our mentors, partners, and guests from extracurricular events, and enjoying networking, fantastic food and drinks, and yes, reviving the spirit of student drinking games. 🍻 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came and made it unforgettable.
