Optimizing agricultural production ultimately comes down to increasing energy efficiency. Emerging technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence, combined with the growing availability of unmanned aerial vehicles and remote sensing infrastructure, promise to address these challenges. The final speaker we are presenting is Korado Korlević, astronomer and teacher with his lecture: “𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲: 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐦” 🎉 The evolution of Homo sapiens over 250,000 years faced many challenges: leaving Africa, natural disasters, meeting with other species of the genus Homo. When Homo Sapiens met Neanderthals, they lost and disappeared 40,000 years ago. Homo sapiens are now facing the next such challenge, a new synthetic intelligence is emerging and probably the self-awareness of the entire network. Are we mentally and socially ready for this challenge or are we the next member of the Homo family facing extinction? Korado Korlević is a Croatian teacher and prolific amateur astronomer, who ranks among the top 20 discoverers of minor planets worldwide. After teaching at polytechnic schools in the late 1980s, he co-founded the Višnjan School of Astronomy, focusing on studying meteors and asteroids. He played a key role in establishing the International Meteor Organization and participated in the first International Tunguska Expedition. The recent completion of a new observatory in Tićan, 3 km from Višnjan, equipped for astronomical and geophysical measurements, enhances his ongoing efforts to map the Solar System and conduct scientific activities. The next speaker at Bounding Box conference is going to be Paul Bradbury from Total Croatia News 🎉 You think AI and modern technology are scary for you? Imagine what it is like for someone born in the 1960s who has spent his life playing catch up. First computer at 24, first phone at 27, first joined Facebook at 41, first smartphone at 44, joined TikTok at 54. And now AI - how am I going to survive this? Paul will provide some advice in his lecture 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐄𝐫𝐚. Paul Bradbury was born and lived in Manchester before moving to Croatia's sunniest island of Hvar and is a global traveler (visited 96 countries, lived in 10), award-winning writer, storyteller, author, public speaker, consultant, networker, and long-term resident (20 years) of Croatia.
