Last week our colleagues Mihael Španović and Marko Mamić had the opportunity to visit both Fundación Andaluza para el Desarrollo Aeroespacial (CATEC) and Universidad de Sevilla as part of the AeroSTREAM project. We discussed potential collaborations and were introduced to the work done by both institutions. During our visit, we worked on the development of an AI model suitable for FPGA deployment and inference that detects aircraft/drones from images. ✈️ We’ve also had the pleasure of participating in a workshop hosted by CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) titled “European Proposals Co-Creation Workshop” where we discussed oncoming proposals and ways for effective collaboration. 📋 It was a great learning and networking opportunity, helping us strengthen our relationship with AeroSTREAM partners! 🤝 #AeroSTREAM #ProtostarLabs #FPGA #CTA #CATEC #UniversityOfSeville

We are happy to announce that we have signed a contract with the European Space Agency - ESA for the ProtoSDK project, focused on developing a low-code platform for deploying neural networks to FPGA devices. This project is a continuation of our previous successful collaboration with ESA. 🚀 Over the next 15 months, we will enhance our capabilities in deploying AI models to FPGAs, with the aim of improving satellite autonomy and reducing data downlink costs. 🛰️ Together with our partners ZAITRA and KISPE, we will address current challenges in onboard data processing and work towards its implementation in future space missions. 🤝 #ProtostarLabs #ESA #Kispe #Zaitra #ProtoSDK #AI #FPGA #SpaceTechnology #OnboardDataProcessing

We're pleased to announce that Protostar Labs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KISPE. 🤝 We will be working together to develop advanced onboard data processing systems using FPGA technology. This collaboration will focus on deploying AI models onboard to increase satellite autonomy and reduce the cost of data downlink. 🛰️ In our collaboration, we will combine our R&D efforts and share expertise to enhance our technological capabilities.
