📊 Our plans for the new research centre at Semmelweis University received highly positive feedback during the public consultations! The new building complex will be based on the university's existing clinics and is closely linked to the development of the 8th district of Budapest, as it will facilitate the rehabilitation of an existing block in addition to the new buildings. The research centre complex will be built on plots bordered by Kőris, Diószegi, Dugonics and Kálvária streets. According to our plans, four new research buildings and an open, accessible, green inner park will be built as part of the block's redevelopment.  🌳 A three-storey basement will be constructed below ground level to connect the building sections and provide parking and full logistical support. During the preparation process, we received feedback and suggestions from the public, which have been incorporated into the plans. These plans are subject to change as a result of the building permit process and further public feedback. Depending on the availability of funding, the investment may be realised in one or more successive construction phases, ideally starting in the first half of 2026. The research centre will focus on scientific and innovative developments. The main functions and research areas of the new centre will include: • Networked/digital medicine and data-driven healthcare • Drug development and advanced drug therapies • Medical device development The new centre will host primarily postgraduate training programmes of the university.   🔗 Further information can be found here: https://lnkd.in/dZ9YcDfu #ceh #design #science

A new milestone in advanced logistics 🚛 We are delighted to announce the handover of one of CTP's new logistics centres. This facility for Tesco covers almost 100,000 square metres and enhances the company's efficiency while prioritizing state-of-the-art solutions: ❄️ 17,000 m² of 1°C cold storage in a 'building within a building' design 🌡️ 14,000 m² of 12°C cold storage As technical inspectors and project managers for this project, we have taken on many exciting challenges: ✔️ Implementing complex ammonia refrigeration systems ✔️ Supporting the approval of external services, roads and roundabouts during the preparation phase ✔️ Working flexibly to meet the tenant's requirements and liaising with Tesco's technical inspectors ✔️ Obtaining occupancy permit, which was critical to fulfilling the lease agreement between Tesco and the investor, CTP   Congratulations on the successful handover! 🎉 https://lnkd.in/d5mxqmAd #ceh #logistics

The International Conference on Bridges in Danube Basin (ICBDB) took place this week in Munich, where our colleagues from the Bridge Design Team attended. Our colleagues presented the design details of the Balanced Cantilever Camber Control of the extradosed superstructure of the Paks-Kalocsa Danube Bridge. The new Paks Bridge is the 21st completed bridge on the Hungarian section of the Danube. The unique and complex extradosed superstructure arrangement with a main span of 200 m over the Danube required a complex and modern design approach, which CÉH successfully completed as lead designer.    Another presentation detailed the design of the river piers of the New Danube Bridge in Budapest. CÉH Inc. participated in this project as a sub-consultant bridge designer to the lead designer consortium of UNStudio (NL) and BuroHappold (UK). The main design development in this project was to align the parallel river piers with the slightly different flow lines of the river at the cross section and to provide hydraulically favourable 'pointed arch' leading and trailing edges of the custom shaped piers. Optimisation was achieved through extensive river bed and hydraulic surveys, 2D hydraulic studies, small scale physical testing and state of the art 3D CFD simulation. #Bridge #CÉH

The community, always being able to talk to people professionally and humanly, to think together, and it's a real pleasure to relax together at the colourful events.” In addition to running a Sustainability and Digitech Cabinet to focus on the issues of the future, we organised the 2nd Summer University for engineering students under the framework of the CÉH Foundation.
