Thrilled to kick off the onboarding of a new cohort of coaching clients for an innovative and forward thinking market systems development (MSD) agrifood project alongside an incredible professional coach. We are excited to add a new tool to our six-step agri-food transformation process. As MSD practitioners we are all involved in sectors or sub-sectors selection. It can take time. This new process we have create cuts out the number of sectors or sub-sectors we need to fully review prior to advising our clients on sectors or sub-sectors to focus on. It might sounds like a small step but with this still a challenge a number of MSD activities, facilities or projects we work with face and with this we are savings our clients and ourselves hundreds of consulting hours. Cheers to greater efficiencies!!!

Localization in Agri-Food Development How can we ensure that local farmers and agribusinesses truly lead the development of their food systems? What are the challenges and opportunities you've encountered? The Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) in the Philippines has empowered local organic farmers. As of 2023, 87 PGS groups involving 1,742 farmers have been established, certifying 2,315 hectares for organic production, reducing certification costs by 60% compared to third-party systems.
