On 7 March, our Senior IP Consultant, Dimaz Prayudha, spoke at the panel discussion, "Ethics of Creation in the Digital Era Volume II: Copyright and the Philosophy of AI". The event was held at Teater Wahyu Sihombing, Taman Ismail Marzuki, and was moderated by the Jakarta Arts Council team. The event explored the complex world of AI, from its basic functions to its ethical implications for creative industries. Dimaz's presentation focused on "Hak Cipta" (Copyright), outlining the exclusive rights that automatically arise when an idea takes tangible form and is published. He highlighted examples of copyrighted works, such as paintings, books, songs, films, sculptures, dances, batik and performances. Dimaz emphasized the increasing importance of understanding and respecting these rights in an era where AI is becoming more integrated into creative processes. The event fostered a deeper understanding of the intersection between technology, creativity and intellectual property. We are grateful to have been invited to participate in this dynamic panel discussion, as the firm continues to collaborate and contribute to safeguarding intellectual property across various sectors.
