✨ Thrilled to Share Highlights from the ASEAN Foundation-Japan Gen-Z Business Leaders' Summit Pre-Event held this October in Jakarta, Indonesia.   🌏Held from the 18-19th of October at ERIA: Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, the gathering was a forward-thinking initiative bringing together under-30 leaders from across ASEAN, Timor-Leste and Japan, highlighting the strength, vibrancy, and impact of youth leadership in our region! 🌟 Launched as part of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Relations, here's some of the takeaways that made this event special:   - There was a huge focus on cross-cultural collaboration; we were encouraged to embrace different ways to communicate, from how to say our names with gestures/sign language to sharing random facts about each other! - We made site visits to up-and-coming startups in Indonesia and talk to their founders about their journey. I got to visit Sinbad, a tech startup breaking down supply-chain barriers between SMEs in Indonesia! - We were thrown into tough and rigorous brainstorming sessions to ideate policy proposals which we will bring to the full Summit this December.   The commitment and meticulous work of the organizing committee truly echoed the passion that fuels the progress of ASEAN and Japan.
