Pioneering Decentralized Waste Management System in Eastern Indonesia

Tentang kami

Recovered Indonesia (RECO) is an integrated plastic recovery center that recovers ocean-bound plastics in remote and coastal cities across Indonesia. Through our decentralized waste management system, we recover value from waste while empowering thousands of informal waste pickers to increase their income and overall livelihood. RECO is headquartered in Surabaya with operations in Ambon, Makassar, Gresik, and Bekasi. Our Programs 1. Waste Education & Community Engagement We raise environmental awareness of Indonesian society through the digital platform through VEL Foundation 2. Plastics Circularity Enabler We enable corporates and brands to fund plastic recovery initiatives in remote coastal cities at greater risk of plastic pollution 3. Sustainable Materials We transform waste into valuable resources, supporting brands in achieving their sustainability goals In conducting our programs, we partner with governmental bodies, local municipalities, international organizations, NGOs, the private sector, and a wider like-minded community, towards a shared goal of creating a cleaner and greener Indonesia.
