About us
ACE Ireland is the beverage carton trade association representing the leading beverage carton manufacturers and their paperboard suppliers in Ireland. ACE Ireland works to benchmark and profile beverage cartons as a renewable, recyclable and low-carbon packaging solution. ACE Ireland represents leading beverage carton producers Tetra Pak, SIG Combibloc and Elopak. Most of the paperboard used by ACE members in manufacturing beverage cartons in Europe is produced by Stora Enso in Skoghall (Sweden), Imatra (Finland), and BillerudKorsnäs in Gävle and Frövi (Sweden), who are also members of ACE.

♻️The installation of a state-of-the-art robotic sorting technology at Panda’s materials recovery facility (MRF) in Ballymount, Dublin, funded by ACE Ireland, is aimed at improving the recycling process of cartons placed on the Irish market. Ground-breaking artificial intelligence identifies, picks, & sorts cartons into their own dedicated streams. Sorted materials are then sent onwards to ACE’s specialised carton recycling facility in the UK.

A Repak survey found that while 88% of participants rated themselves as doing a great job with their recycling in general, only 53% accurately identified what could actually be recycled. Beverage cartons are fully recyclable and are included on Ireland's national household recycling list.
