✨ “Recognize the power you have and use it for good.” ✨ “Imposter syndrome is not real.” ✨ “Take action despite having fear.” Some words stay with you long after an event ends—and these were just a few of the powerful messages shared at the IWD APNI Bold Brunch on March 8th, in celebration of International Women’s Day 💜 Inspired by my beautiful sis Hazel, I’ve been making it a goal to attend more networking events. And thanks to Katayi, I found myself at this unforgettable gathering—a room filled with over 100 women and allies, celebrating boldness, empowerment, and sisterhood. 🚀 What does being BOLD really mean? This year’s theme, #BeBold #AccelerateAction, was a reminder that progress doesn’t happen by waiting—it happens when we step forward, even when we’re afraid. From the moment the panel started, I knew I was in the presence of greatness. Pendo, Nifemi, Joy-Tendai, and Dr Monica shared their insights with authenticity, wisdom, and a refreshing honesty—reminding us that boldness isn’t about being fearless; it’s about acting despite fear. 💡 Key takeaways from these powerhouse Women: 🔥 “Our greatest fear isn’t failure—it’s our power.” 🔥 “Success doesn’t make you feel good. Feeling good brings success.” 🔥 “Be your biggest cheerleader.” 🔥 “It’s all about giving back—lifting others as we climb.” Common barriers to boldness? 🔹 Imposter syndrome 🔹 Fear of failure 🔹 Perfectionism 🔹 Cultural & societal expectations The blueprint to boldness? ✔ Know your worth and values ✔ Build your network & lean on it ✔ Prepare for setbacks & take risks with intent ✔ Own your voice & share your story 🌟 This wasn’t just an event—it was a movement. A huge thank you to Edima and the entire African Professional Network of Ireland team for creating this space and organizing such a powerful event. #IWD2025 #BeBold #AccelerateAction #WomenEmpowerment #APNI
