Depaul is a charity supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness We exist to serve individuals and families who are at risk or caught in the spiral of homelessness, deprived of all control of their lives, when every door is closed to them. Depaul is here because they deserve help to rebuild their lives and progress to a positive future. We approach this; With compassion and a willingness to do whatever it takes no matter what. With expertise and professionalism so the most excluded homeless people get the help they deserve and are not overlooked or ignored. And we don’t stop there, we innovate when services are needed. We advocate for hard to reach groups and are willing to take risks to make sure the services exist for those experiencing homelessness. We want to end homelessness and change lives. Depaul is a cross border organisation operating 40 specialised services in 5 main areas of service provision; - Health & Rehabilitation - High Support Accommodation - Families & Young People - Prevention - Housing Depaul shares close links with the SVP as one of our founding partners but we are a separate charity addressing homelessness. William Fry's 33 interns took part in a Pack-a-Thon challenge, this week, for Depaul (Ireland). The day started with a presentation from Caroline O'Connell, Director of Fundraising and Communications, Depaul and Niamh Thornton, Senior Services Manager, Depaul, about the service they provide. William Fry colleagues from across the firm donated hundreds of hygiene products and over 60 packs of nappies. Our interns created 110 packs with these products which will go to women and children in Depaul’s homeless services. William Fry is committed to having a positive impact on our community which is reflected in our guiding value 'Powerfully Principled.' We're thrilled to see one of our Homeless Health Peer Advocates, Sinéad Flynn feature in today's Irish Examiner! Sinead gives an insight into the important work that our Peer Advocates do to support the health needs of people experiencing homelessness, and explains how demand for the programme is growing following a recent expansion of the service from Dublin to Cork. Our HHPA programme has already supported 160 healthcare appointments and 30 referrals in the first six months of this year.
