AI and blockchain are two groundbreaking technologies, yet each faces core limitations that hinder its full potential. Blockchain offers unparalleled security and transparency but struggles with scalability and efficiency. AI, with its predictive capabilities, faces trust issues from data privacy concerns and the notorious “black box” problem of opaque decision-making. Together, however, these technologies hold the potential to resolve each other’s greatest challenges: blockchain can bolster AI’s transparency, while AI can streamline and scale blockchain processes. Blockchain Ireland Paper: Crypto-Assets Blockchain Ireland is delighted to announce availability of a major paper from its Legal and Regulatory Working group on #CryptoAssets. The first such paper from the group, it will be followed shortly by another paper on smart legal contracts. The paper aims to provide an overview of the treatment of digital/virtual/crypto-assets in Ireland. Crypto-assets are broader than just cryptocurrencies, being “a digital representation of a value or of a right that is able to be transferred and stored electronically using distributed ledger technology or similar technology” — the definition used in the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).
