As part of our 25 weeks to celebrate 25 years of BT’s involvement in the Young Scientist & Technology exhibition we will be publishing a newsletter which features winners and some key Irish and global moments from certain years. This week we feature year 2001 & 2002 – who won, and what happened in Ireland and across the world in those years. Amazing what memories these historical milestones are bringing back.

About us
BTYSTE was set up in 1965 to encourage all second level students (12-19 years) across Ireland to take part and enter an enquiry based project to the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition and thus foster their interest in STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Maths). That is still the ethos of the exhibition almost 6 decades later. BTYSTE remains the longest running STEM initiative in Europe and the third longest in the world. The event which normally takes each January attracts some 10's of thousands of visitors each year making it the biggest educational event in the Irish schools calendar.

Great event for those that can attend also features Ciara & Saoirse Murphy two of our winners from BTYSTE2025.
We are grateful to the women we have the privilege to work with, including our remarkable colleagues, customers, partners, suppliers, and community groups. 'Diversity is a fact, inclusion is a choice’ and helping everyone, regardless of their background, to have a sense of belonging is the right business decision. This Wednesday, we are looking forward to our virtual fireside chat with the remarkable Olympic athlete Ciara Mageean, one of Ireland’s most exceptional middle-distance runners, admired for her determination, competitive spirit, tactical awareness, and outstanding finishing ability. Ciara's story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the impact of embracing one's unique strengths. Contact Priscilla O'Regan to register. #IWD #InternationalWomensDay

We are so looking forward to meeting and working with the 16th BT Young Scientist Business Bootcamp. The 30 participating students will be representatives of 19 schools across 12 counties. It was created by BT to encourage participating BTYSTE students to develop key business and innovation skills.
