📣 Our session on "Anatomy, Physiology, and Plaque: Integrating Insights for Better Patient Outcomes" earlier today at #ESCR 2024 was a tremendous success! 📣 Together, we explored how the HeartFlow analysis brings together anatomy, physiology, and plaque characteristics to drive informed decision-making in coronary care. From understanding the core principles of #HeartFlow FFRCT to learning about its application in planning PCI and CABG, the insights shared were invaluable. This session truly highlighted the power of cardiac CT and FFRCT in shaping future standards of cardiovascular health. 1️⃣ Prof. Daniele Andreini opened with the fundamentals of HeartFlow FFRCT, presenting its high diagnostic accuracy and capacity to streamline decisions on revascularization. He highlighted how FFRCT can defer unnecessary invasive procedures and improve cath lab efficiency. 2️⃣ Prof. Marco Francone then took a deep dive into plaque anatomy, emphasizing the importance of plaque characterization in coronary CT to understand CAD progression. His insights on linking plaque features to clinical outcomes underscored the value of precise imaging in guiding patient care. 3️⃣ Prof. Yoshinobu Onuma rounded off the session with a focus on cardiac CT and FFRCT in planning PCI and CABG. He demonstrated how non-invasive imaging supports thorough anatomical and functional assessments, enhancing patient-specific surgical and interventional planning. A heartfelt thank you to Professors Andreini, Francone, and Onuma for their exceptional expertise and contributions. Together, we’re setting new standards for cardiovascular care and better patient outcomes!
