In the most recent Lets Talk Ethos podcast episode, Niall Mulpeter interviews Dr Johanna Fitzgerald, who is ETBI’s National Inclusion, Special Education and Research Coordinator. This podcast invites listeners to reflect on the complex concept of inclusive education and to consider how the Ethos Framework supports its articulation and expression in schools. The key message is that inclusion begins with ‘I’. Johanna draws on the research literature and her lived experience as a SENCO, teacher and teacher educator to reflect on how we collectively and individually conceptualise and experience inclusion in our schools. Johanna offers some practical, evidence-based approaches for listeners to consider. We hope you enjoy listening! Here at ETBI, we are happy to support our local government colleagues on #YourCouncilDay. Local authorities are responsible for the provision of over 1,000 services to citizens and similar to ETBs, have a footprint in every town, city and county. Your Council Day highlights and promotes the work of county and city councils, with local authorities across the country marking the day by taking the opportunity to promote and celebrate amenities, programmes, initiatives and services they provide. #YourCouncilDay@Local Government Ireland
