Electric Ireland has announced a new partnership with EnergyCloud Ireland, a not-for-profit social enterprise, which is developing technology that utilises surplus renewable electricity to help alleviate energy poverty.     This surplus renewable energy, which would otherwise go to waste, will be harnessed through smart immersion controllers to provide free tanks of hot water in homes struggling with energy poverty.      The collaboration with Electric Ireland will see families identified as Electric Ireland customers within the scheme benefit from free tanks of hot water, with relevant households seeing an average annual bill saving of over €100 for each relevant customer.    Pictured: Pat Fenlon, Executive Director at Electric Ireland, Noeline Gibbons, Head of Residential at Electric Ireland and Alan Wyley, Chief Executive Officer of EnergyCloud.
