👏 In October, #INNOCAPproject partners met in Donegal for the 5️⃣ meeting, hosted by #ERNACT. A great opportunity to catch up on the progress of each partner’s work! 🎥 In early October, partners from the E6 Project gathered in Galway for the initiative's second partner meeting. Over three productive days, 19 partner from across North-West Europe united to push forward their shared mission: promoting a circular economy for Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE). 🌍⚡ “With a room full of circular economy enthusiasts on electronic and electrical equipment the live meeting in Galway is key for making connections for cooperation. Earlier this month the second Interregional Management Committee meeting of 2024 took place, hosted in the Brussels offices of the Government of Cantabria, it featured a key presentation by Malgorzata Nikowska, Head of the AI Innovation and Policy Coordination Unit at the European AI Office. Nikowska shared valuable updates on artificial intelligence, highlighting strategies for ERNACT regions to leverage AI in advancing their digital transformation agendas. Additionally, Emilija Stojmenova presented an overview of the EU's current priorities in digitalization, providing further context for aligning regional initiatives with broader EU goals. 🏞️ The recent Interreg Europe WeSTEMEU Study Visit in Letterkenny concluded with a successful Thematic Workshop dedicated to exploring work-life balance innovations. 👩🔬 The workshop began with a presentation from Dr. Shagufta Henna of the ATU Department of Computing, who introduced participants to various work-life balance initiatives, complemented by interactive self-assessment exercises. 🛜 This was followed by insights from Margaret Quinn of ERNACT and Donegal Digital, who shared case studies and discussed the Donegal Digital Action Plan. This innovative initiative, founded in 2014, seeks to enhance digital growth and innovation across County Donegal and the Northwest region, demonstrating the importance of digital transformation in regional development. 🏄♀️ The session concluded with a presentation from Elaine Whoriskey, Economic Development Officer at Donegal County Council, who outlined the InvestDonegal Remote Working Strategy for Business. This framework underscores Donegal’s commitment to being an attractive location for remote work, emphasising the region’s focus on work-life balance as a strategic advantage. 👏 Our thanks to all who contributed to this valuable and insightful workshop.
