Walls is delighted to share these impressive aerial pictures of the Airton Road site in Tallaght for our client Ardstone. Work is progressing well on this 45,000m² residential development, which when completed will consist of 502 apartments within 6 blocks ranging in height from 4 storeys to 8 storeys. With piled foundations, the structures are completed using a full precast frame from podium level. The main facades are brickwork, with stone cladding at feature corners, Aluclad windows to apartments and curtain walling to Commercial spaces. The apartments will be fitted with an exhaust air heat pump system, and a separate continuous central extract ventilation system. Amenity spaces will include a Reception, Gym, Lounge and Co-working space. ClearyDoyle recently handed over the Merrymeeting housing development in Rathnew, Co Wicklow, to Wicklow County Council. This project, delivered under a Design and Build contract, involved the development of 21 A2-BER-certified housing units. Comprehensive site services were also provided, ensuring the development is fully equipped with all utilities and services as well as adequate on-street parking points, including accessible parking spaces. The project also consisted of the implementation of both hard and soft landscaping, which enhanced the overall aesthetics and functionality of the area. Hard landscaping included the construction of pathways, driveways, walls and other paved surfaces, while soft landscaping introduced green spaces, planting, and other natural features. #CrossAvenue, Blackrock- Alta Verde Development August 23 ➡️ July 24 Brilliant progress made at Cross Avenue in just under a year, images below showing the project from its initial stages in August 2023 up to July 2024. Several milestones were hit recently including the removal of tower crane and scaffolding to Block C as well as the closing out of apartment units. Balcony & exoskeleton installation, roof garden planting and paving continue to progress well, with external wall insultation (EWI) and render finishes coming along nicely and almost complete on two of the three buildings. We are very excited about our newly completed project, Cookstown Gateway, which The Land Development Agency recently launched as part of their #ProjectTosaigh initiative. The project, which forms the first development and western ‘gateway’ of the Tallaght Town Centre LAP, is located beside the Cookstown Luas Stop on the Red Line and is within walking distance of Tallaght University Hospital and The Square Shopping Centre. Reddy A+U were appointed in 2021 to deliver the scheme from planning stage. Ranging in height from six to nine storeys, the design comprises 204 high-quality apartment units, vibrant residential amenities, two commercial units and a creche. The high-quality development has been delivered through the LDA’s Project Tosaigh initiative and will provide eligible households with the opportunity to secure a new A-rated home at rents that are on average at least 25% lower than comparable market rates as enabled by the Government’s STAR scheme. Yesterday marked an exciting milestone as we celebrated the "topping out" of Alta Verde with our contractors. It was a great pleasure to join the team at Monami Construction, along with our funders and representatives from the whole design team to mark this significant stage in the construction of this new BREEAM Excellent apartment development situated on the beautiful Cross Avenue in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Designed by Urban Agency & MDO Architects, the development will include 241 apartments spread over three blocks with the roof terraces benefitting from breathtaking 360-degree views of Dublin Bay and the Dublin mountains.
