World Silver for Kate O’Connor 🥈 We extend our warmest congratulations to the incredible Kate O’Connor, who has made Irish athletics history by winning silver in the pentathlon at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China – Ireland’s first medal at this event in 19 years. Remarkably, this latest success comes just 12 days and over 5,000 miles after Kate secured bronze at the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn – the first senior multi-event medal ever won by an Irish athlete. In Nanjing, Kate entered the final event – the 800m – in third position, knowing she had to finish ahead of the USA’s Taliyah Brooks to move up the podium. With characteristic composure and determination, she delivered an outstanding performance to claim the silver medal on the world stage. A truly inspirational achievement from an exceptional athlete – and fitting recognition for the Superwoman from Dundalk, whose relentless pursuit of excellence continues to inspire. We are so proud to continue our support of Kate and to witness first-hand how dedication, mental strength and teamwork produce world-class results. #BuildingOurFutureTogether

Walls was delighted to host the official launch for the Clean Air Site Campaign and Flag at the University College Dublin Centre for Future Learning project – in association with the Construction Workers Health Trust (CWHT), the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) and the Construction Industry Federation (CIF). This campaign encourages construction sites to monitor air quality, use safe systems of work and raise awareness of the dangers posed by long term exposure to contaminated air. Silica dust is a natural substance found in found in materials such as bricks, concrete, and mortar, but it can present a serious hazard to construction workers who may be exposed to it for a prolonged period.
