This weather is really great for barley & wheat. Good for soil too with the top surface being broken down by ice expansion. Integral & Littoral sitting beside each other. Both 6 row BYDV tolerant varieties, both bred by Secobra in northern France. Littoral is a bit more prostrate and less leafy than Integral in its growth habit. It would be autumn 26 before it would be eligible for the Recommended list but I really like it based on what I’ve seen from it in 2023 & 24. It’s a long long time since I’ve seen a variety with such good resistance to straw breakdown and also Ramularia. Fingers crossed. SECOBRA RECHERCHES Tom Barker Goldcrop
