An international network with the aim of sharing information on the digestion of food
About us
INFOGEST is an international network with the aim of Sharing Information on the Digestion of Food. INFOGEST was created under a cost Action [FA1005] and has evolved into an open network of scientists from both academia and industry from over 45 countries. The aim of the network is to improve the current scientific knowledge on how food is disintegrated during oral, gastric and intestinal digestion. The specific areas of interest at the moment are: • In vitro models of digestion • Food interaction – meal digestion • Absorption models • Digestive lipases and lipid digestion • Digestive amylases and starch digestion • In silico models of digestion INFOGEST organises workshops, training schools and the biennial International Conference on Food Digestion. Great to see another Infogest in vitro digestion training school outside of Europe. Well done Samantha C. Pinho and the Infogest Latino-America team to organise the event in the FoRC Food Research Center in Sao Paulo. ... and there are some rumours about a possible International Food Digestion Conference in Latin America!!! 👍 👍 👍 Who? Where? When? https://lnkd.in/g2gFdTbB
The first training workshop - INFOGEST BR Group - on February 6th and 7th at the Food Research Center (FoRC - USP). The event aimed to prepare samples (peptides and polyphenolic compounds) for analysis after in vitro digestion. @infogest_latinoamerica USP - Universidade de São Paulo Infogest
