Lee Donoghue, a Roscommon-based Lidl store manager, was honoured with the Male Allyship Award at our recent Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards! Lee's dedication to fostering a menopause-inclusive workplace is truly commendable, and we're delighted to see him receive the recognition he deserves. His commitment to creating a supportive environment for employees experiencing peri/menopause is a powerful example of how male allyship can drive positive change. Congratulations, Lee! Good luck to everyone taking part in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon & Race Series this Sunday! 👏🏻
We’re on the final countdown to the Irish Life Dublin Marathon & Race Series, which takes place this Sunday! Yesterday I joined Jim Aughney, Race Director of the Dublin Marathon in making a €20,000 donation from Irish Life and Dublin Marathon to Debra - The Butterfly Skin Charity. Debra supports individuals living with severe skin condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB). Also pictured are Emma Fogarty , Ireland’s longest-surviving person battling the most severe type of EB, and actor Colin Farrell who is running the 2024 Irish Life Dublin Marathon for Debra in honour of his close friend, Emma’s 40th Birthday. Over 22,500 entrants are set to take to the streets of Dublin on Sunday, while raising money for charity and supporting local economy – best of luck to all of you taking part. There’s already a great buzz around the city, see you on the Irish Life Mile ( Northumberland Road), where together, we’ll cheer everyone home! #powerofsupport #debraireland #Dublinmarathon

An inspiring way to finish last week! We were very proud to sponsor the Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards, a partnership between Menopause Hub and Great Place to Work® Ireland, which is designed to showcase organisations who are creating supportive environments for women experiencing menopause. As the first insurer to help members navigate the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, as well as any other concern that can affect women at any stage of life, our title sponsorship of this event was a perfect fit. Through our dedicated female health consultation service, we support our members through every stage of their female health journey. It was great to be joined by Dr Maire Finn, female health GP with Centric Health Ennis, who continues to be a powerful voice for female health in the workplace and our colleague Sarah Conlan QFA, APA, PMI had the opportunity to present a new award this year for "Male Allyship" 👏

The countdown is on for the Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards taking place tomorrow! Irish Life Health is the first insurer to offer our members access to specialist online or face-to-face medical experts, offering our members the chance to be seen, heard and treated without waiting. Through our female health consultation service, we support our members at each stage of their journey, including perimenopause and menopause.
We’re delighted to introduce the new Male Allyship Award as part of our Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards 2024! 🌟 This accolade highlights the crucial role that men play in supporting their colleagues through menopause. As our Founder & CEO, Loretta Dignam, says, “Menopause cannot only be a women's issue; we need to engage men too.” This award celebrates those men who have gone above and beyond in championing menopause awareness and empowerment within the workplace. The Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards are hosted in partnership with Great Place to Work® Ireland. This event is sponsored by Irish Life Health and Astellas Pharma. Our charity partner for 2024 is Women's Aid Ireland. Less than a week to go and we couldn’t be more excited!
