The determination of the Ukrainian people to survive, to rebuild where they can, and to create a sense of normality for their children. These were among the key take-aways for our Irish Red Cross team when they recently visited to see some of the activities and programmes being run in communities across Ukraine by the branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross, thanks to the generous support of the Irish public. Stay tuned for more details and stories from our visit in upcoming posts!

A generous gift for a better world We are honoured to share the inspiring words of Edwin Humphreys, a dedicated Irish Red Cross supporter, who has chosen to include us in his Will. “I have always been lucky, but over time I realized that what I take for granted—education, work, a place to live—are unimaginable luxuries for many. The Irish Red Cross is on the frontlines, bringing comfort and assistance to those in need, and I trust them to use my contribution effectively. After caring for my family, I decided that one of my final acts should be to assist with the work that sadly will need to continue for some time.” We are deeply grateful for Edwin's generosity and trust. If you want to learn more about leaving a gift in your Will to the Irish Red Cross, please contact Frank Phelan at 01 642 4645 or email fphelan@redcross.ie. #LegacyGiving #IrishRedCross #AGiftForABetterWorld
