Yesterday, the Medical Council launched this independent confidential counselling service to doctors and members of the public engaging with the regulatory process. This is an excellent initiative which should be very valuable to doctors facing complaints. Doctors should always seek advice from their indemnifiers if they receive notice of a complaint.
