About us

For over 130 years, MSD has been inventing for life, bringing forward medicines and vaccines for many of the world's most challenging diseases in pursuit of our mission to save and improve lives. MSD is a trade name of Merck & Co., Inc., with headquarters in Kenilworth, N.J., U.S.A. We demonstrate our commitment to patients and population health by increasing access to health care through far-reaching policies, programs and partnerships. Today, MSD continues to be at the forefront of research to prevent and treat diseases that threaten people and animals — including cancer, infectious diseases such as HIV and Ebola, emerging animal diseases, and, most recently, Covid-19 — as we aspire to be the premier research-intensive biopharmaceutical company in the world. 🌟 We were thrilled to be part of The Big Idea - Ireland Accelerator event yesterday!   As proud partners, it was inspiring to see the talented teams of students developing and prototyping their ideas with the support of mentors, including some of our own MSD colleagues.   Events like these highlight the importance of creative and design thinking skills in driving innovation and solving real-world problems. Kudos to all the participants for their incredible ideas and hard work! 🚀 Niamh Morgan Noel Wilson Lucy FitzGerald #Innovation #CreativeThinking

For the week that’s in it, while our colleagues are taking part in our MSD All-Ireland Volunteering Week, we’re taking this opportunity to recognise our colleagues at our sites in Brinny, Co. Cork, and Ballydine, Co. Tipperary, who last year contributed over 800 volunteering hours in just one day to their local communities!   We believe in the power of winning as one team and these sites came together to truly bring this to life. It was their dedication and commitment to giving back that inspired us to expand this volunteering day to volunteering week and involve colleagues from all our sites in Ireland!   #MSDGivesBack #AtMSDImInspired
