We recently partnered with Opinions to shed some light on issues facing Ireland’s fast-growing older population and importantly our customers. Our research into ‘Attitudes Towards Ageing’ found that most adults of all ages believe we face significant challenges when we get older – including loneliness and exclusion, inadequate healthcare, age discrimination, and lack of representation. The number of people aged over 65 in Ireland is forecast to reach one million by 2031, so it’s important that we understand the issues they face so that we can challenge negative stereotypes and act to ensure older people have the supports and services they need.
