We’re thrilled to have won Best Retailer Over £250m at last night’s Retail Week Awards. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams across our 17 markets. We’re heartened by the kind words of the judges: One said, “What they do is just incredible. They are knocking it out of the park in what is a very, very competitive part of the market.” while another concluded, “They are an absolute machine that is very consistently successful and puts the customer first.” It rounds off a proud week as we were also shortlisted for Company of the Year at the British Diversity Awards, recognition that speaks to the progress we’re making on what matters most. Looking ahead, we remain focused on offering the best for our customers – from exciting new products and standout in-store experiences to expanding into new international markets, all while continuing to reduce our environmental impact.
About us
Primark is an international fashion retailer employing more than 80,000 colleagues across 17 countries in Europe and the US. Founded in Ireland in 1969 under the Penneys brand, Primark aims to provide affordable choices for everyone, from great quality everyday essentials to stand-out style across women’s, men’s and kids, as well as beauty, homeware and accessories. With a focus on creating great retail experiences, Primark has 460 stores globally and continues to expand. Primark is working to make more sustainable fashion affordable for everyone through its Primark Cares strategy, a multi-year programme that focuses on giving clothing a longer life, protecting life on the planet and supporting the livelihoods of the people who make Primark clothes. As part of this, Primark unveiled nine commitments it is working to achieve by 2030. These commitments include making all of its clothes from recycled or more sustainably sourced materials by 2030, halving carbon emissions across its value chain and pursuing a living wage for workers in its supply chain.

We’re proud to play a small part in CoorDown’s ‘No Decision Without Us’ campaign for World Down Syndrome Day, with some of the cast wearing pieces from our new Adaptive clothing range. #NoDecisionWithoutUs #WorldDownSyndromeDay
Inclusion will never be possible if the decisions that shape the world are made only by a few, for a few. From having a say in everyday personal choices to being involved in writing laws and policies, people with disabilities demand a seat at the table where the decisions are made. So that everyone’s opinion is heard and the world is finally shaped by all. This year, for International Women’s Day, we are putting a spotlight on ‘Empowerment through Mentorship’ - celebrating and recognising the impact that great mentors can have on us. Mentors can come from anywhere, because we all have something to teach, and something to learn. At Primark we believe in the power of working together, being honest with our feedback and guidance, and empowering people to be the best they can be. This week, we hosted a panel with our colleagues from our offices and stores, as well as partners from WorkEqual who shared their experiences, insights, and advice on how mentorship can unlock potential, foster growth, and create more opportunities for women and people of all genders in the workplace. A huge thank you to everyone who joined, contributed, and made this event so special, you can check out the highlights from the day below! Let’s keep the momentum going by reaching out, having conversations, and lifting each other up. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 Panellists: barbara leonard, Una Hassett, Anna Julian, Caroline mc carthy, Diana Mikalauskaite, Lorraine Culligan

Belfast, we’re ‘home’! Today we opened the doors to our first-ever standalone Primark Home store in Belfast, marking an exciting moment for our brand and a £2 million investment in Belfast city centre. Located on Donegall Place, just steps from our flagship Bank Buildings store, Primark Home is set to be a must-visit destination for stylish, affordable homeware. We were delighted to welcome Lord Mayor of Belfast Cllr Micky Murray to cut the ribbon and celebrate this special moment. As an extra treat for our Belfast shoppers, the new store will be the exclusive stockist of the brand new Primark Home Edit collection for the next four weeks. Expect luxury 500-thread count bedding, plush towels, rich home fragrances, and refined ceramic tableware – bringing elegance and quality to your home. Thank you to our amazing teams and customers for making this possible. We can’t wait to welcome you in! #PrimarkHome #NewStoreOpening

In 2013, we launched the Primark Cotton Project (formerly the Primark Sustainable Cotton Programme) in partnership with CottonConnect. We had an important goal in mind: to support cotton farmers - particularly women smallholders - to improve their livelihoods. A decade on, we returned to hear directly from the farmers who took part in the original pilot to understand the long-term impact that it had on their lives. With the help of Enabling Outcomes Ltd. and Self Employed Women's Association, we spoke to 70 farmers to understand how their farming had evolved, what had improved, and the challenges they still face. Some key themes emerged: 🌱 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 - Collaboration with our Project partners CottonConnect and local partners like Self Employed Women's Association are key to long-term success. 🌱 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 - Participants shared knowledge within their communities. 🌱 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 - Continued support is essential to successfully achieve positive outcomes for Project farmers. 🌱 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬 - Farmers felt more confident and respected in their homes and villages. 🌱 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧 - Farmers saw financial benefits from adopting the new practices learned through the Project. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eWn4ZXGT 📖 Full report: https://lnkd.in/e7nzdy9b
