Staff Relay Series

The Staff Relay Series (previously titled The Dublin Staff Relay) was set up in 2011 to fill the gap in Ireland’s market place for healthy corporate entertainment & staff wellbeing. The Staff Relay is firmly established as Ireland's No1 staff-wellness event. As Ireland's largest annual staff night out, The Staff Relay Series is 'The must-do event for any Irish employer that values it's staff & their collective wellbeing'. 10,000 participants from over 400 separate organisations will participate in the event on either Wednesday 22nd or Thursday 23rd May 2024 in The Phoenix Park, Dublin. The concept is simple: 5 people enter as a team, each member runs one leg of a 5km circular route passing the baton to their teammate who continues the next 5km in traditional relay fashion. The final km of the route passes through the ‘Staff Relay Village’, weaving its way around the marquees that have been erected as individual company headquarters for the night. The proximity of the relay route to the spectators, lends itself to a truly unique atmosphere as participants pass within touching distance of their teammates who are on hand to offer encouragement, tactical advice or sometimes even a gentle ribbing! But it’s not all for the serious runner either; many companies enter teams of walkers just happy to join in the fun atmosphere, enjoying a healthy activity before settling in to party the night away with their work colleagues. With 10,000 people taking part (2,000 teams of 5) in this celebration of work colleagues it is easy to see why the Staff Relay Series is established as Ireland’s No. 1 Staff Night Out!
