Final Update on Paddy Finn and Deborah Finn's Inspiring Journey in Africa Paddy and Deborah have spent a meaningful week in Eastern Uganda with World Vision, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of your contributions. In Busia, they had a heartfelt reunion with Junior, a young boy they’ve proudly sponsored for over 10 years, and saw the life-changing difference that sponsorship has made. With World Vision, sponsoring one child extends benefits across the entire community—helping to positively impact the lives of four children through each sponsorship. Their model is designed to foster community independence, ensuring sustainability within 15 years. Thank you to everyone who has shown support throughout this journey. The fundraiser remains open for those who want to help bring sustainable development to more communities. Learn more and contribute here: https://lnkd.in/enQR-7RE As a special commitment, Paddy and Deborah will be matching all donations to help reach the fundraising goal. 💧🚻 #WASHprojects #SustainableDevelopment #Africa #CommunityEmpowerment #Fundraising #Impact

🌍 Paddy Finn and Deborah Finn's visit to the Lunyo Water Pump Facility in Africa 💧 Join Paddy and Deborah on a visit to the newly built water pump facility in Lunyo, a project made possible by World Vision. Before this facility, many people had to walk 6km a day just to access clean water. Now, with this solar-powered system, the pump provides 8,000 litres of water per hour, running for 8 hours a day — a true game-changer for the region! This is a powerful example of the impact WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects can have, transforming lives and communities. Paddy and Deborah are fundraising to support even more initiatives like this. To learn more and contribute, please visit: https://lnkd.in/enQR-7RE A reminder also that Paddy and Deborah will be matching all donations to help reach the fundraising goal💧🚻 #CleanWaterForAll #WASHProjects #SustainableDevelopment #CommunityEmpowerment #Fundraising

In Texas, where energy demand is unpredictable due to extreme weather and high industrial activity, maintaining grid stability is crucial. ERCOT has implemented a series of demand response programs to ensure a reliable power supply. These programs incentivize large commercial and industrial users to reduce or shift their energy use during peak demand or emergencies. By combining ERCOT-administered and non-ERCOT programs, Texas has built a strong demand response framework that helps prevent blackouts while offering financial incentives to participants. Paddy Finn and Deborah Finn had the privilege to visit various health projects run by World Vision in eastern Uganda. One of the standout moments was their tour of a maternity unit, built with funding from Irish Aid and World Vision. Seven years ago, before this medical unit was established, only seven babies per month were born under medical supervision. Today, that number has risen to 140 births per month! Before, many births took place at home with the help of local doulas. But through World Vision’s engagement, these incredible women are now partnering with the medical team to refer mothers to the unit for safer births. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Your support is truly making a difference. ➡️ Donate today to help save more lives: https://lnkd.in/enQR-7RE Paddy and Deborah will be matching all donations to reach their goal! 💧🚻 You can also sponsor a child and change a life here: https://lnkd.in/d8Y-PVtm #WASHprojects #SustainableDevelopment #Africa #CommunityEmpowerment #Fundraising #Impact

🌍 The future of energy must be sustainable. As biofuels like Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) gain traction in energy and transport, there are valid concerns about their environmental impact, particularly when linked to unsustainable sources like palm oil. VIOTAS supports calls for increased scrutiny and robust regulations to ensure that biofuels used are genuinely sustainable. In our latest blog, we explore how responsible sourcing and better regulation are key to unlocking HVO's potential without compromising our ecosystems. 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/geJYMvdv #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #HVO #ClimateAction

Update on Paddy Finn & Deborah Finn's Trip to Uganda. Paddy and Deborah recently had the privilege of visiting schools in Eastern Uganda, where they witnessed firsthand the incredible impact that donations to World Vision Ireland, through World Vision Uganda. are making. These contributions are changing the futures of children in some of Africa's most impoverished regions, empowering entire communities to break the cycle of poverty. A standout moment was when young Joseph shared with Deborah how something as simple as having proper toilets has transformed life for him and his friends. Your support makes a real difference, and we're deeply grateful for all contributions to our current fundraiser for another essential WASH project like this! Please donate to their fundraiser here: https://lnkd.in/enQR-7RE To amplify the impact, Paddy and Deborah will be matching all donations to help reach the fundraising goal💧🚻 You can also sponsor a child and change a life here: https://lnkd.in/d8Y-PVtm #CleanWaterForAll #WASHProject #SupportEducation #HealthAndHygiene #SustainableChange

VIOTAS were delighted to recently collaborate with one of our key customers, Ecocem Ireland, in co-hosting CRU Commissioner Fergal Mulligan and his team from the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) visit to their plant at Dublin Port. A special thanks to Gavin McMorrow from Ecocem Ireland for his outstanding efforts in preparing for the event. We would also like to acknowledge Patrick Liddy who facilitated the visit on behalf of the Demand Response Association of Ireland .
