As part of our #ProudSpaces initiative we are thrilled to announce the launch of a monthly online youth cáfe for young neurodiverse LGBTQI+ people aged 18-24 years. The cáfe will create safe spaces for those most marginalised young people where they can benefit from youth work processes and activities, make friends, develop social skills and have fun, all while being supported by professional youth workers. This initiative is supported by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth's LGBT+ Community Youth Fund. Find ot more at https://bit.ly/3PuxtSr #proudspaces

Day 4 of showcasing our key highlights of 2024 1) Hosted young people for the Irish Youth Music Awards National Day for a fun filled day of workshops and showcasing their musical talents 2) Youth Wave 2024 saw 300 young people from various youth clubs spent the playing fun games and attending interactive workshops. #youthworkforall #impactingyounglivestogether Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth

Day 3 of 2024 highlights 1. We had the honor of attending fdys 60th anniversary, as they celebrated 60 years of providing quality youth work for their community. 2. We launched our Creating Proud Spaces in Rural Ireland resource as we work towards ensuring young LGBTQI+ people in rural Ireland have access to safe spaces. 3. We launched the Climate Justice Group Work research conducted by Dr Morgan O’Brien and Majella Finnegan of SETU. 4. Launched The Be Well Workbook a great resource to help young people manage stress and improve their wellbeing. 5. Our Management team took part in the Cross Nations Leadership Training. 2024 has been a busy year here at National Office and as the year comes to an end we will be posting some of the key highlights and activities from the year. 1. We successfully ran Youth Work Ireland week with our members running activities across their services, the Theme for this year was Cut From The Same Cloth. 2. We attended our first ever Ploughing Champion and had a chance to showcase the value of youth work. 3. The Ceo's met for a residential with National Office Staff as we mapped out ways to strengthen the federation and continue ensuring the provision of quality youth work across the country. 4. As part of our #Election2024 campaign, Youth Work Ireland and its members are asking the new Dáil to implement 10 actions to support local youth services and young people in Ireland.
