Anderson McQue is recruiting for our client who enjoys high international reputation in various markets for technical solutions. They are now recruiting for a Field Service Engineer, covering areas across Ireland.

Job Description:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our range of food processing machinery. This role is perfect for experienced field service engineers with a background in packaging or processing machinery used in the food industry, or for experienced maintenance engineers from food factories looking to transition into a field role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repair, refurbishment, installation, and commissioning of food processing machinery.
• Work closely with the Irish sales manager and other Irish service engineers, reporting to the Service Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
• Travel frequently, staying away from home on average 3 nights per month.
• Occasionally work weekends for breakdowns (very rare).

Requirements:

• Experienced in packaging or processing machinery in the food industry, or as a food factory maintenance engineer.
• Qualified multi-skilled engineer (mechanical and electrical).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use a meter; specific electrical or PLC qualifications are not required due to the plug-and-play nature of the equipment.

Products:

Food processing machinery including vacuum filling, continuous production depositors, forming, handling, linking, mixing, and thermal process equipment.

Food market sectors including meat, cheese, pet food, bakery, dairy, and confectionary.
