Today we announced that our partner Nektar Therapeutics has exercised its license option to develop our AI-designed antibody targeting TNFR2 (now NKTR-0165) for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as ulcerative colitis, multiple sclerosis and vitiligo. Nektar expects to advance NKTR-0165 through IND-enabling studies in 2024, with the goal of filing an IND in the first half of 2025. You can read more here: bit.ly/3w50Rso

Can AI help treat cancer? We are learning more about it. More #cancer patients in Australia and the US are about to be treated with a drug that was designed by AI. Biolojic Design, Ltd. is proud to share that Aulos Bioscience is beginning Phase II with AU-007, the #antibody Biolojic designed using its #ai platform. The Phase I portion of the study was designed to assess the safety of this antibody. But beyond the good safety profile we observed, we also saw something else: first signs of activity. In such studies, the patients usually have advanced metastatic cancer that progressed under any other available treatment. AU-007 was able to slow, halt and sometime even reverse the growth of the tumor in some of the patients. It is still a long way before we can know for sure, but with hope, we are anxiously looking forward to learn more about this first AI-designed antibody during the Phase II.
