Today marks Tisha B'Av, a day of mourning for the destruction of the Temple, disasters, and exile. It's impossible not to think of this day in the context of our current reality—war, the destruction of homes, loss of lives, and the displacement of so many people from their homes, whether due to destruction or forced evacuation. Yet, we focus on hope, rebuilding, restoration, giving, and resilience. Our work encompasses all of these elements and more, but today, we choose to highlight one aspect and express our gratitude to everyone—staff, volunteers, educators, national service volunteers, and more—who go above and beyond to assist residents in evacuation centers in various ways, helping to ease their burden and provide them with a sense of home as much as possible until they can return to their homes. We continue to build partnerships and restore communities, fostering and cultivating personal, familial, community, and national resilience.

Community resilience is also about mutual responsibility and giving to others. The members of Kibbutz Kfar Blum wanted to express their support for the community of Majdal Shams after the terrible disaster that struck them, in which an anti-tank missile killed 12 children and teenagers. They raised over 17,000 shekels from community members and donated them to CSPC || Community Stress Prevention Center || מרכז משאבים to support coping with loss and bereavement. We thank the Kfar Blum community for their donation, which serves as an inspiring example of unity and the importance of supporting community resilience during times of war for the benefit of the entire nation. Strong Partnership for the North: The UJA Federation of New York and CSPC Serving Half a Million Residents 🤝 🌐 🌟 Yesterday, we hosted Mr. Eric Goldstein, the American CEO, and Mr. Itzik Shmuli, the Israeli CEO of the UJA-Federation of New York, and their team, together with our partners from the Eastern Galilee Cluster of Municipalities. During the meeting, we explored and presented our joint activities and held a professional discussion on the welfare of the residents of the North. The UJA-Federation of New York has been a partner with CSPC || Community Stress Prevention Center || מרכז משאבים for decades in various initiatives carried out at the national and northern levels concerning trauma treatment and the development and nurturing of resilience among the residents of the State of Israel. Since the outbreak of the war, the UJA-Federation of New York has mobilized to support the CSPC's immediate and long-term activities as the leading organization responsible for interventions in resilience and trauma throughout the northern front and beyond. We are grateful to the Federation for their ongoing support of our activities, based on a value-driven and professionally supportive understanding of CSPC || Community Stress Prevention Center || מרכז משאבים integration and full partnership with third-sector organizations, municipalities, government ministries, and philanthropy. In such an extensive emergency as we are experiencing today in the country as a whole and the north in particular, creating partnerships among such sectors multiplies strength and allows us to create a shared infrastructure for the immediate future already noticeable on the ground and for the years ahead for the extensive and profound rehabilitation of individuals, families, communities, municipalities, and the entire population. In Israel and around the world, for war refugees in Ukraine as well as for northern residents displaced in their own country, of all ages, sectors, and religions - thanks to our dear partner, the CSPC provides immediate and effective interventions for anxiety and trauma victims.
