Optimizing the treatment of hospital hazardous and medical waste 💉 Hospitals generate vast amounts of this waste, including items like used syringes, contaminated materials, and expired medications, which require careful handling to prevent the spread of diseases and environmental contamination. Safe disposal methods like incineration, autoclaving, or chemical disinfection can be expensive and are not environmentally sustainable or create additional health risks through air pollution. This is exactly what Envomed’s solution comes in. Their innovative product converts the infected waste into 100% sterilized waste, with an innovative method, replacing carbon-intensive, heat-based technologies like: incinerators, autoclaves & microwaves. 🗑️ The major advantage of the system they developed is that the entire process takes about 18 minutes and is carried out within the hospital itself, without the need to transport the hazardous waste, with the bacteria and toxins, on the country's roads, which also adds a public safety risk. About two years ago, Envomed began marketing its unique machine in Israel, and it is already being used by hospitals and medical centers and waste disposal sites for the treatment of contaminated waste. It's not only medical institutions that are using Envomed's unique machine; commercial entities that require a very high level of hygiene are also using this innovative technology, including food manufacturers and distributors, a large dairy, and biotech and high-tech companies. Amazing yields in the past month for Israeli high-tech companies! 🎃 Around $1 billion (!) were raised by Israeli startups across 26 deals during October. Israeli startups raised over $1 billion in both April and May after previously going since August 2022 without reaching that figure over a single month. October saw the most deals in a single month this year other than July. The amount raised was double of October 2023 when the Iron Swords war broke out, despite last month being scattered with Jewish holidays.
