Chosen by TheMarker magazine as "One of the top 20 startups in 2024" - this is why: "The massive spread of anti-Israel falsehoods has made Jackson Hinkle a huge star on X since the war in Gaza broke. However, Hinkel, who describes himself as an admirer of Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un, did not conquer the net alone. Next Dim revealed how several organised networks of fictitious accounts promoted Hinkle's content on X. One of the networks had previously circulated criticism in Chinese against the Japanese government, but when the war in Gaza began it transferred more than 20,000 of its accounts to promote Hinkle. Most young startups will try to focus on solving one problem first, however Next Dim, which has developed software for the identification of patterns and connections within huge databases, was initially born with a dual pillar structure: the first is used to identify social media influence systems, and the second is to identify financial crime and terrorist financing by analysing the transactions that pass through banking systems or blockchain networks. The company’s product, whose founders are former senior executives of Bank Hapoalim, is now offered as a banking software complementary system, for identifying problematic transactions. While existing banking systems detect suspicious transactions for a single account, Next Dim is examining the overall picture so it can identify patterns that may have many accounts involved. Countries like Iran that want to transfer funds to terrorist elements through crypto, do so through a series of wallets and accounts. The wallets will transfer coins back and forth between them and perform a variety of diversionary actions so that the source cannot be traced down. Therefore, a look at a specific account from the entire array will not give a complete picture. Next Dim initially turned to the civilian market, but two years ago it was identified by DDR&D (MAFAT) - Directorate of Defense Research & Development and was invited to participate in the organization's startup accelerator. Following its return on the 13th of May, 2024, Next Dim surfaced several suspicious activities A “Meme Stock Craze” that not only affected the stock market but also extended into the crypto world begun. The activity displayed includes ~100k users and~230K interactions representing 10% of the overall activity - 78% of all users were classified by our engine as bots (some of them were suspended by X in a timely manner). Stock prices, transaction volumes, and number of buyers/sellers of the "Meme Stocks Craze" (#GME,#AMC) have skyrocketed.
