Updates

  • We at United Hatzalah are truly touched every time we receive a thank you for the work we do. Recently, we shared a powerful update with Joan about her sponsored ambucycle, #1471, which has been saving lives in Jerusalem. This lifesaving ambucycle is being ridden by EMT Elad Ravensari, who responded to an urgent call at the bustling Machane Yehuda market. A young woman suffered a severe allergic reaction, and Elad’s quick response on their ambucycle, along with his professional care, saved her life. In times of terror and tragedy, your support is more critical than ever. We are so thankful that we could give Elad his "mechanical wings" to make a difference. Together, we save lives. #UnitedHatzalah #Ambucycle #SavingLives #ThankYou #MachaneYehuda

  • United Hatzalah hosted a historic event at Tel Aviv’s Hangar 11, where over 1,000 female medical volunteers gathered for the largest assembly of its kind. The event honored the lifesaving work of these women, many of whom were on the frontlines during the October 7th attacks. It also marked the dedication of Israel’s first all-female emergency medical response team, the Adele and Joel Sandberg Women’s Unit. The unit consists of 1,763 volunteers from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, including EMTs, paramedics, doctors, and social workers, who respond to medical and psychological emergencies across the country. The night featured powerful stories from volunteers and a special performance by Israeli singer Hanan Ben Ari.

  • United Hatzalah is excited to announce the launch of a new cloud-based emergency response system developed by Carbyne, a leader in public safety technology. Inspired by the lessons learned from October 7th, this upgrade significantly enhances our life-saving capabilities by enabling faster and more efficient responses. By integrating Carbyne’s APEX platform—used by 911 dispatch centers across the U.S.—we can now access features like live video from callers, real-time photo sharing, precise caller location, and chat management for situations where speaking is unsafe. These advanced tools are available without needing a smartphone app, activated simply by clicking a link sent during an emergency. Dov Maisel, VP of Operations at United Hatzalah, emphasized: “This technology is a game changer, boosting our ability to save lives and offering a greater sense of security to the community.” We’re proud of this partnership and the positive impact it will have on emergency response.
