What's the secret to being a great VC Investor? 💼🚀 Here are a few nuggets, revisiting Asaf Horesh's appearance on the Fintech Leaders podcast with Miguel Armaza 🎙️: "People ask me, what are the good ingredients to being a good investor? And I'll be like when I started, I thought it's about being analytical, understanding finance, understanding tech. It took me maybe a couple of months to understand this is all nice to have, but this is a people's business People need to feel that you're the person they want to work with, that they trust you, and vice versa." 🤝💡 "People that are very much self-aware and critical of themselves and can look at their own mistakes, are becoming much better investors, much faster. A lot of people fall in love with the stuff they do even though they make mistakes and it's hard to admit you made a mistake, so people that take the debrief capability even if they were trained are becoming faster and quicker." Our very own Asaf Horesh, Managing Partner at Vintage, recently shared his insights in an interview with Globes about Israel’s tech industry showing signs of recovery [HEB] 📈 In 2021, the venture capital landscape shifted as new funds, not traditionally investing in venture, entered the market. This influx led traditional VCs to invest more in seed stages, resulting in a surge of seed investments and their valuations. However, this created challenges for Series A rounds, as many seed-stage companies haven’t matured enough for the next funding round. Asaf noted that the number of companies able to raise Series A has decreased, resulting in funds’ continuous interest in seed investments.
