ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ - ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ನಾಡು, ಭಾವನೆಗಳ ಬೀಡು. ಈ ದಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ, ಅದರ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಚೈತನ್ಯದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಜೃಂಬಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು 1956 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅದರ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಇಂದು ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಏಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸೋಣ.  ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು! In celebration of the International Day of Care and Support, we hosted an insightful webinar featuring Judson Hosmani, President of Vishwa Jyoti Rural Development NGO, based in Chitaguppa, Karnataka. During the session, Mr. Hosmani shared the inspiring journey behind Vishwa Jyoti, an old age home he established to provide shelter, care, and dignity for the elderly. Mr. Hosmani’s mission began in 2008, initially focusing on diabetes support and water sanitation (Jala Nirmala). However, an encounter with an abandoned elderly woman in his village shifted his focus to elder care, leading him to establish Vishwa Jyoti as an old age home in 2014. Despite challenges like high rental costs, he took a loan to build a dedicated facility, ensuring a secure and compassionate environment for seniors. During the pandemic, funding and resident numbers dwindled, yet Mr. Hosmani sustained the home, often covering expenses personally. Today, Vishwa Jyoti cares for 46 elderly residents, driven by his unwavering commitment and limited government support. His story is a testament to the importance of compassion and community support for the elderly. As part of the vibrant Daan Utsav celebration, 1NGO Trust teamed up with the JEF GROUP to collect a variety of essential items for their partner NGOs. Among the many inspiring moments of this initiative was the visit of SHOBHA ARUN, the NGO Account Administrator at 1NGO Trust, to Sahabalave, an NGO based in Madhugiri, established in 2015. Sahabalave, a public charitable trust, is deeply dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged communities through initiatives in education, healthcare, art & culture, and livelihoods across Karnataka. In support of Sahabalave’s noble efforts, 1NGO Trust donated notebooks and stationery, contributing to their mission of empowering communities. During her visit, Shobha took the opportunity to volunteer, leading a heartwarming music session for Kannada Rajyotsava, spreading joy through the power of song. The spirit of giving continues as Sahabalave plans to distribute school bags and books to government school children in November, further nurturing the joy of learning and the essence of Daan Utsav.
