⭐ 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗦𝗥 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 At Dasra Philanthropy Week 2025, we explored how CSR in India is evolving from a compliance-driven exercise to a strategic tool for long-term, systemic change. Our session "Shaping New Paradigms in Corporate Giving" brought together CSR leaders, funders, and grassroots changemakers to explore how collaboration, innovation, and long-term commitment can drive deeper impact. 🌍✨ The conversation underscored a significant shift—companies are moving beyond transactional giving to embed CSR within core business strategies, prioritizing sustainable, mission-driven partnerships. The rise of blended finance and ESG integration is fostering more structured, fiscally sustainable models. At the same time, grassroots engagement remains critical—while large-scale partnerships bring resources, it is the smaller, community-led organizations that often drive systemic change. Speakers emphasized the need for trust-based, long-term collaborations over short-term funding cycles, urging both corporates and nonprofits to align their efforts for lasting impact. 💡 To support this evolving landscape, we launched the CSR Handbook "𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘆: 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹” developed in collaboration with Nishith Desai Associates. This definitive guide unpacks compliance frameworks, strategic giving, and impact-driven philanthropy through a Q&A format, offering expert legal insights and real-world case studies. Designed as a practical resource, it aims to help stakeholders navigate compliance, tax efficiency, and collaborative funding models to unlock CSR’s full potential beyond regulatory mandates. 📖 Read it now!: https://lnkd.in/eC5dNXGF As inspiring as the momentum at DPW is, it’s what we do with it that matters. The future of CSR lies in breaking silos, fostering cross-sector partnerships, and ensuring that resources are equitably distributed. 📩 Have thoughts on the future of CSR? Led by entrepreneurs and professionals in fields such as technology, finance, and law, India’s rapidly growing affluent population is reshaping its economic and philanthropic landscape. Dasra, in collaboration with SVP India, conducted a pioneering research study exploring the giving motivations and behaviors of this cohort — inspired by a similar study conducted by Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS) in the US. The study delves into the factors shaping their philanthropic choices, from deep-rooted cultural influences to emerging trends like collaborative giving. It highlights the challenges professionals encounter as they integrate philanthropy into their lives, and outlines opportunities for the philanthropy ecosystem to deepen engagement with this cohort. This #InternationalWomensDay2025, leaders and changemakers reflect on the progress made over the past 30 years, and the road ahead. AI, Tech & Data for Good: What does it take to build an inclusive digital future? At Game Changers for Good: Role of Tech & AI, a flagship convening under Dasra Philanthropy Week 2025, we explored how technology, data, and AI can shape a more resilient and inclusive India. From the reality of AI for marginalized communities to the limitations of open-source tech, the discussions surfaced key insights: • AI for whom? The promise of AI must be rooted in community realities, ensuring access, agency, and safeguards. • Open-source ≠ accessibility. Data gaps and digital literacy continue to limit its real-world impact. • We are already in the age of AI. AI is actively shaping policy, automation, and development today. This gathering reinforced a key message: Technology alone is not the solution—but when designed with inclusion, ethics, equity, and collaboration at its core, it can be a game-changer for social good. A big thank you to our incredible speakers, partners, and participants for making this a powerful space for dialogue and action. Let’s keep the conversation going—what’s your biggest takeaway from the event? Drop your thoughts below! “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller At the Virtual Impact Forum of the Dasra Philanthropy Week, we uncovered how peer-to-peer networks are rewriting the future of South and Southeast Asia. From empowering youth to shaping policies, dive in to learn how collaboration is driving systemic change. With South Asia home to the world’s largest youth population, the question isn’t just about growth—it’s about who is leading it. As we navigate diverse regional challenges, peer networks are proving essential in scaling solutions that are adaptive, participatory, and impactful. By amplifying marginalized voices, fostering contextualized interventions, and strengthening capacity-building, these networks are ensuring that solutions are not just effective but sustainable. Through real-world case studies, the session ‘Scaling Impact through Peer-to-Peer Networks in South and Southeast Asia’ brought together leading voices to unpack how grassroots collaboration drives systemic change. We are thankful to our speakers for their invaluable insights: Alauddin Ahmed (ITN-BUET); Anushka Saraf; Dr. Mahreen Matto (National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) and Shamim Ahsan Chowdhury (United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC). The session was moderated by Reshwin Noel Washington. Swipe through to explore key takeaways on how peer networks are unlocking transformative impact across the region.
