Apollo Tyres recognised the achievements of 8 exceptional women entrepreneurs from Project Navya, an initiative by #ApolloTyresFoundation (ATF), aimed at empowering rural women. The inspiring event was organised to commemorate International Women's Day, in collaboration with the The French Institute in India (IFI)/ French Embassy in India / Ambassade de France en Inde, and was honoured by the presence of Dr Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, and Onkar Kanwar, Chairman, Apollo Tyres Ltd. Panelist Chetna Gala Sinha, mentioned that a "true revolution begins within, fueled by the unwavering determination to achieve our goals. I experienced this firsthand when I founded the first rural women’s bank in India and women run radio. We have impacted lives of 1 million women with INR 500 crores of business. Today, I celebrate the inspiring stories of the remarkable women from #EkNaam, who exemplify courage, wisdom, and humility, and it serves as a powerful testament to the idea that when women succeed, entire communities flourish." Panelist Garima Bhatnagar, IPS Officer shared that “this event has been truly remarkable, cantered around the vital mission of empowering rural women in India. When equipped with the right support and resources, women can effectively address conflicts both within themselves and their communities, fostering a culture of peace.
