Are we all in for AI? Well that's a question we all asked when we gathered last week at BW's 40u40 event and it turned out to be a much stronger yes than what I would have expected from the diverse symposium. Had a forum to discuss the emerging trends in the field with some of the strong contributors & supporters of the domain. We ended up talking about several topics ranging from recent breakthrough innovations in GenAI, reducing algorithmic bias, investors valuation for AI platforms, ethical considerations from policy pov, and enterprises using AI solutions. August has been full of learning and sharing for me! Highlighting some key events: 1. AWS GenAI Loft: Got the opportunity to speak on how GenAI is being used for 3d content creation. I also touched upon Avataar’s infra for large-scale model training and best practices for efficient training. 2. IEEE SPS hosted by Samsung R&D: I talked about research in Neural Rendering, Nerfs and 3d foundation models. Also discussed how these technologies are laying foundation for a more immersive future. 3. Siggraph 2024 : Attended Siggraph in Denver and learned about latest research in 3D AI & rendering, and witnessed some cool applications in media, gaming and robotics. Google Starline demo was incredible - a glimpse into the future of communication!
