I had the privilege of attending an all-women in climate meetup last weekend, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember.

Absolutely stunning. Bangalore Creative Circus is a hidden gem in Bangalore. Imagine a 20,000 sqft warehouse, once a steel factory, now transformed into a vibrant living lab. It’s a place where sustainability meets creativity, featuring a farm-to-table restaurant, urban farming demos, an art gallery, and so much more.

It was the energy of the women there. Motivated, curious, and full of support for each other, it was an electric atmosphere ⚡. We weren’t just attendees; we were a community united by a common goal: to make a significant impact on our planet 🌎.

I learned about some truly extraordinary work happening at the grassroots level. For instance, I tasted a 'Kokum ice bar' from The kokum Collective, a startup by the innovative antara hazarika. They’re taking kokum, a superfood sourced from tribes in Goa and North Karnataka, and turning it into delicious treats. 🍧
And then there was Saving Grains Elizabeth Yorke, a company that's doing incredible work upcycling used grains from breweries and cafes in and around Bangalore. It's a brilliant initiative that turns waste into something wonderful, promoting sustainability in a creative way 🌾.
One of the most inspiring moments was hearing from Subhadra Gupta about regenerative agriculture practices. She also shared a quote that has stuck with me: "𝐼𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑚𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑣𝑖𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡, 𝑡𝑟𝑦 ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑏𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑦." 💸

We also discussed the barriers people face, especially the need for knowledge and experience. But events like this are crucial in bridging the gap and providing the support needed for a successful transition.
