In 2018, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT World Peace University introduced the B.Tech. program in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Robotics and Automation. Since its inception, we have endeavored to deepen our knowledge and expertise in various facets of Robotics and Automation. Recently, a two-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) was held on September 27 and 28. As the Organizing Chair, I made it a priority to invite distinguished speakers from IITs and NITs across India. This FDP was inspired by my recent visit to ARTPARK (I-Hub for Robotics and Autonomous Systems Innovation Foundation) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc)Bangalore. I extend my gratitude to Prof. Bharadwaj Amruthur, Executive Director and Chief Technologist, for his support in funding this workshop, and to Dr. Sanjeev Srivastava for his invaluable coordination and guidance. The inaugural ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Milind Pande, Hon. Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr. DINESH SETH Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology. The first day featured sessions led by Prof. Dr. Shital Chiddarwar, Ph.D. who provided insights into the Robot Operating System and conducted a hands-on workshop in the afternoon. The second day commenced with a presentation on the Control of Autonomous Systems: Formal Guarantees Against Complex Specifications by Prof. Dr. Pushpak Jagtap from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. Following this, Prof. Dr. Ekta Singla from the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, discussed Robot Kinematic Frameworks: Importance, Strategies and Applications. She also informed participants about the activities of the Robotic Society of India. The final session was presented by Prof. Dr. Nirav Patel from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras focusing on Image Guided Surgery and Surgical Robots. An online session explaining opportunities available at ARTPARK for students, researchers and academicians was conducted by Dr. Sanjeev Srivastava. He also invited young minds and entrepreneurs for collaboration. The workshop attracted 50 participants, including faculty members and scholars from various institutions and universities in Pune, Ahmednagar, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur districts. As always, my team made significant contributions, including Prof. Dr. Shivprakash Barve, Program Director of Mechanical Engineering, along with Dr. Vilas S. Kanthale, Dr. Anil Mashalkar as Convenors, and Dr. Ganesh Borikar, Dr. Rahul Jagtap, PhD. and Mr. Shrikant Yadav in leading positions. Dr. Omkar Kulkarni, Dr. Samidha Jawade, Dr. Ashish Pawar, Dr. Kaustubh Kulkarni, Mr. Snehal Kolekar, Dr. Shivani Gupta, Mr. Chaitanya Burande, Mr. shailendrasingh girase supported for successful organisation. Prof. Dr. Ganesh Borikar expressed vote of thanks.
